I am currently trying to install mysql. When i try to install it using the fink commander I get this error.

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
giflib-bin: Depends: x11
giflib-shlibs: Depends: x11
gtk+: Depends: x11
mysql: Depends: mysql-shlibs (= 3.23.54a-2) but it is not going to be installed

I have tried running the 'apt-get -f install' in the terminal and I get this error.

Your XFree86 installation is missing or incomplete. Please make sure you have
an XFree86 release installed and retry the installation of the system-xfree86
package.

The following XFree86 software is compatible with system-xfree86:

  XonX (from the XFree86 Project):
    http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=18034

  Apple X11:
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/x11/

Press a key to continue.

I am not sure why I would need X11 but it seems to want it. If this is already answered in the FAQs I apologize for asking this again, but I looked through them and couldn't find any answers. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joseph
