I am in the process of catching up on installing packages I've missed over time.
I have run fink selfupdate-cvs and now am running fink update-all. I started
out needing to install or update 64 packages and now I'm down to 25.
I'm getting the following message when I do fink update-all:
Information about 3064 packages read in 13 seconds.
fink needs help picking an alternative to satisfy a virtual dependency. The
candidates:
(1) xfree86-base-dev: Placeholder for X11 dev packages, version 4.2
(2) xfree86-base-threaded-dev: Placeholder for X11 dev packages, version 4.2
(threaded)
(3) xfree86: XFree86 distribution
Pick one: [1]
I already have XFree86 packages installed as follows:
% fink list --installed | grep -i "XFree86 libraries"
(i) xfree86-base 4.2.1.1-18 XFree86 libraries, utilities, clients and
data
(i) xfree86-base-shlibs 4.2.1.1-18 XFree86 libraries, utilities,
clients and data
(i) xfree86-rootless 4.2.1.1-18 XFree86 libraries, utilities,
clients and data
(i) xfree86-rootless-shlibs 4.2.1.1-18 XFree86 libraries, utilities,
clients and data
So, what do I do to satisfy this virtual dependency?
[The output of fink --version says:
Package manager version: 0.19.1
Distribution version: 0.6.2.cvs
The output of gcc --version says:
gcc (GCC) 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1493)
The output of uname -a says:
Darwin mogwai.local. 6.8 Darwin Kernel Version 6.8: Wed Sep 10 15:20:55 PDT 2003;
root:xnu/xnu-344.49.obj~2/RELEASE_PPC Power Macintosh powerpc
I'm running MacOS X 10.2.8.]
Thanks in advance for your help!
