I'll try this again-
You removed libgnomeprintui2 (and splitoffs), and still have
libgnomeprintui2.2 (and its splitoffs)--that's fine, since these are
eparate packages).

Also, libgnomeprint2 was removed, but not its splitoffs--not
surprising. You can remove them separately.

Which spitoffs should I remove?

Umm...everything that starts with libgnomeprint2.

hmm...maybe this is one of those misleading errors. If you run

dpkg -S /sw /include/gtkhtml/gtkhtml.h

A typo on my part:

/sw/include/gtkhtml/gtkhtml.h

what package does it show as providing gtkhtml.h?

--AH

dpkg apparently cecked every installed package and returned:

............kde-icons-ikons, aalib, shared-mime-info, pango1-xft2-dev,
kregexpeditor, default-icon-theme, libbonobo2, xmms-bin,
libgnomecanvas2-shlibs, katomic, ncurses-shlibs, html-tagset-pm, autoconf2.5,
kimagemapeditor, kuickshow: /sw
dpkg: /include/gtkhtml/gtkhtml.h not found.

Thanks for all the help.
Brian
