Installed fink on 10.2.8. Installed the devtools update and the gcc-to-3.3
update. Fink commander works fine, but when I try "sudo apt-get upgrade" I get

Reading Package Lists...
Building Dependency Tree...
E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or
old ones used instead.
(I've truncated that slightly--you get the point.)
I've run "fink scanpackages" and "fink configure" and searched the faq and
the archives for the list and I really really suspect it's a stupid
configuration thing, but I can't figure it out. By the way, my setup is
computer -> router -> DSL and I've tried "fink configure" both with no
proxy settings and with the router's address as a proxy. I made sure that
"Use passive ftp mode" is switched on in the network tab.
So, given that I promise that I've endlessly searched the documentation and
tried everything that I think should work, would someone kindly tell me
what totally obvious thing I'm doing wrong?
