With Apple X11 Amarok refuses to start because it says libXfonts.dylib is
1.0 and it requires 1.0.2 or something like that. If it would be helpful I
will remove xorg and reload X11 and get the specifics.
Curiously my iMac OS X 10.4.8 Install disks (2) nor my Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.6
developer disk have X11 on them. I needed Pacifist and the Apple X11 Update
2006 1.1.3 to install X11.

It would be useful to see a corresponding crash log with Apple's X11 if you
got one. The one you are showing points at a crash in a very
xfree86-specific part of XDarwin.app. In fact, since this is at RGB-related
bitmap code, it smells very much of an endian bug which may or may not be
known or even fixed in the meantime.
I am CCing this to the xfree86/xorg expert; maybe he has seen similar
crashes before.
In any case, it doesn't look like Amarok plays an important role here,
apart from triggering the xfree86 bug.
Any help is appreciated.
