Wonderful. Now we have not only incompatibility between Apple's X11 and 
Finks X11ses, but also between xorg and xfree86 inside Fink. What a mess...

We need a mechanism that makes it impossible to change the X11 
installation once you have compiled anything against one of them.

In Ron's case, he has qt3 compiled against xorg, and this fails both 
with Apple's X11 and with Fink's xfree86. The only way out is to remove 
xfree86 once again and install xorg. And then cross your fingers nothing 
you compiled in the meantime develops an allergy against xorg.
