What do you get from "pkgutil --file-info /usr/libexec/java_home"?
I get something slightly different here. $ pkgutil --file-info /usr/libexec/java_home volume: / path: /usr/libexec/java_home pkgid: com.apple.pkg.Java pkg-version: 10.6.0.1.1.1238328574 install-time: 1272069991 uid: 0 gid: 0 mode: 755 pkgid: com.apple.pkg.JavaForMacOSX10.6Update3 pkg-version: 10.6.0.1.1.1247562015 install-time: 1295660667 uid: 0 gid: 0 mode: 755 which is missing Update2 and JavaCommon. The prior probably just means my first update (this is a pretty new computer that sat in the box for a while, hence the weird install-time spacing) came after Update3 was released. Not sure what JavaCommon had in it, or if it too would be in Update3. > Emboss's packaging assumes that people have applied the latest Java > updates on 10.5 and 10.6, so if for some reason those haven't been > applied on your system, that could well account for the failure. I think that means I'm up to date. Am I missing some element of Java?
