I can't reproduce this error on 10.6/64bit. Could you please tell us:
1 - What version of Fink you are running ("fink --version")
2 - What version of gdl you're trying to build "fink list gdl"
3 - What version of hdf4 and netcdf you have installed ("fink list hdf4 && fink
list netcdf")
