I am running MAC OSX 10.11.4
I tried updating fink by running the fink selfupdate command but it keeps
returning the following
/usr/bin/rsync -az -v

your continent(4) Retry another mirror
Default answer will be chosen in 120 seconds...
I think it may be because I am behind a firewall.
So I looked up the fink website and tried to do this using cvs package
First I tried to install the cvs package by the command
fink --use-binary-dist install cvs-proxy
but I am getting
bash-3.2$ fink --use-binary-dist install cvs-proxyScanning package description
files..........Information about 9742 packages read in 12 seconds.WARNING: your
info file index has not been updated for 206 days. You should run'fink
selfupdate' to get the latest package descriptions.no matching version found
for cvsFailed: no package found for specification 'cvs-proxy'!
And it seems to ask me to do a fink selfupdate first, therefore stuck in a loop!
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I am pretty useless with unix/linux
system
