I learned to never do that. When given the choice, many people will just pick the middle value if in doubt, in order to give neither bad nor a good rating. With an even number, you force them to at least pick a direction... tending toward good, or bad. IMHO that is a good thing. However, as somebody who also sometimes has to fill out such surveys, I also appreciat an additional "I don't know" or "Does nto apply to me" check box, where appropriate. Sometimes I just can't rate something because simply I never used it. But in this case, this doesn't seem to be necessary.How useful is Fink to you? (presents a scale from 1 to 8)use an odd number so that a whole number is the middle value.
