Both of these will involve changes to bootstrap.pl and/or postinstall.pl .
But we should discuss them first, and decide how we want to proceed.
I agree. We already talked about this a bit on irc, and I think we need to sit down and figure out how to handle the 10.3 transition. I know we've all been thinking about it, but nothing official has really been discussed yet.
A couple of random thoughts:
- because of new linking options that allow prebinding of libraries with undefined symbols, I think it is definitely a good idea to move MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET to 10.3
- does the Panther NDA affect our preparedness (are we allowed to put 10.3-related fixes in a public CVS archive if they give hints about new system features and such?)
- there was something else I was gonna say, but I can't remember what it is now. ;)
