I am totally behind this but how should we handle it? Code it into fink? add a file in the /sw/etc/profile.d??

If you want to code it into fink I suppose will could use the check_dist() function from the BootStrap or from the fink.conf and if it's 10.0 10.1 10.2 then ignore so would don't change the old ones but if 10.3 then set deployment in the clean fink env sub?

wouldn't take much but running a shell script to set it in /sw/etc/profile.d allows tampering, which well could have ups and downs.

both are very easy and I'd be willing to implement them.

I'm ready to start adding things tot he 10.3 tree but I"d like this decided on first so I can re boot strap before I start building everything. And RangerRick needs to look into a few of my concerns for prebinding in the current bootstrap.

But it does work and everything runs, I tested it all last night. Just getting a few warnings and a few things that don't want to prebind.
