Sometimes my two computers won't show up in each other's appletalk.
Sometimes, after longgggggggg processing, they will. On those
occasions where the do, known, valid username/password combos don't
work. The Apple "Genious" guy actually created some test accounts to
try this.

I haven't updated fink in a couple of weeks, so I'll try that. The
Apple guy ran software update. The only update available was some
IPod software, which he didn't install. I have a hard time imagining
that the IPod software is the problem, but since I have an IPod, I'll
find out in soon.

The apple guy did forced an optimization by running the 10.1.4 update
(although I was already running 10.1.4). It actually sped some
things up, indicating that my last attempt to install 10.1.4 must
have had some problem.
