In an earlier reply to this, I mentioned that Mac OS X seems to have
a builtin firewall, ipfw. Well, I checked it out. It can't be the
problem, since it seems to be wide open:
[localhost:~] ncrocker% sudo ipfw list
Password:
65535 allow ip from any to any
