NeXTSTEP (wrapped in Aqua -- Apple is most definitely getting ROI on its $400M acquisition of NeXT in 1997) come to the masses -- something that Steve had set out to do when he started NeXT (albeit he aimed at academia and the enterprise initially in the early 1990s). Now with Fink, you've got the best of almost all possible worlds. Life isn't perfect, but it sure is grand!
