Now some things got mixed:

I never had Virex.

As I wrote I installed
- a fresh OS 10.2.4
- Apple's Security update
- X11 (Feb.,vers.2)
- x11SDK

Sorry - I forgot to mention that I also installed
- OSX Developer Kit
- and MacGimp

Maybe the Gimp installed the sw-directory?

Now that I've deleted the sw as you explained
it was possible to install fink. Thanks for this help!

Two questions remain: 1. Has the sw been usefull for something - do I (or any app.) have to miss it? 2. The Terminal is till going crazy. Your lines
cd /
grep -rI /usr/share/init/tcsh/rc

don't make any difference. Afterwards I just can't enter anything anymore.

What's this?

Ah yes, there it is. What should I do now?

If you are using Virex, and want to continue using it, then what I've
been unofficially recommending is:

1) Shut Virex down if it's running.
2) Remove the /sw directory with

sudo rm -rf /sw

3) Install Fink
4) Once Fink is working, install the following packages: dlcompat,
curl, and openssl--these provide the same libraries that Virex put in
its /sw directory.
5) You should be then able to run Virex again.

No, as I just wouldn't know how to do this modification

I believe this is harmless, then. You could try searching your system
for it:

cd /
grep -rI /usr/share/init/tcsh/rc
