Do I have to expect similar troubles with OpenOffice?

I'd like to install the ooo1012darwinfb.dmg - but now I don't know...

Any experiences/recommendation someone concerning OpenOffice + Fink?

Two questions remain:
1. Has the sw been usefull for something - do I (or any app.) have to miss it?

The gimp you tried to install with MacGimp has gone now. It would probably not have worked anyway.

2. The Terminal is till going crazy. Your lines

MacGimp probably changed your files /etc/csh.login and /etc/csh.cshrc to something that worked on OSX 10.1, but doesn't on 10.2.

If my conjecture is right, the following command should correct the error. You can cut and paste it to the command line. If my conjecture is not right, the command does not do anything, so it isn't harmful in any case.

sudo perl -pi -e 's|init/tcsh|tcsh/examples|g' /etc/csh.*

In addition, MacGimp may have installed Jaguar-incompatible crap into /usr/local, for example /usr/local/lib/libgcc.dylib
