Sorry if this has been asked recently (I did a quick search in my
inbox)... 

I am investigating an excessive vibration from my new driveshaft that
only appears at certain speeds (shaft has been balanced twice!) and I
remember hearing something on this list about the u-joins being slightly
offset from the factory in 69 to correct a vibration issue.

Does anyone have any info regarding this topic?

Additionally, my original slip yoke was bad, so the driveshaft shop
replaced it with a longer unit.  I believe this may be the main cause of
my vibration.  Has anyone had luck purchasing a fully splined short
style yoke and having a machine shop bore the end to slip over the
o-ring on the tailshaft?
