Check your transmission mount. I had the same problem and finally traced
It to a worn out tranny mount. New one fixed the problem. Worth a try.

Sorry if this has been asked recently (I did a quick search in my
inbox)... 

I am investigating an excessive vibration from my new driveshaft that
only appears at certain speeds (shaft has been balanced twice!) and I
remember hearing something on this list about the u-joins being slightly
offset from the factory in 69 to correct a vibration issue.

Does anyone have any info regarding this topic?
