First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... What is the "safe" or optimal RPM for the 400 at cruising speeds (55-65). According to my tach, I'm running at about 3500 RPM at that speed. Seems high to me, but I'm used to today's cars. Any thoughts? Am I killing the engine?
