If you soda blast make sure all trim is removed and anything else that the soda can get behind or inside. If you don't get all the soda removed before priming you will have a mess. Once moisture gets to the soda it will run and mess up a paint job. And don't expect soda blasting to remove rust, wont touch it. One thing about sand blasting is to keep the blaster moving, especially when doing sheet metal. I blasted the majority of an old Chevy suburban without warping any metal, but I made sure I did not linger in one spot. Jack 67 conv
