So, I have been working on polishing my front and rear window and headliner stainless trim for the last week. I have a little cart I've been using with all the buffing wheels and tools that I wheel in and out of the garage each night. Today, I had two pieces to go. I got side tracked and ended up closing up shop and left them on the bumper of my car. An hour later, I'm driving down the rode and hear this "tinny" sound of something bouncing off the road behind me followed by the car behind me running over something that made more fun sounds. Immedieatly I realized I now need to purchase some new trim, lol. I turned around to see if it was salvagable but it had been completely folded over and was trashed. I get back in the car an try to explain to my wife about the loss and she just shook her head as she usually does everytime I bring up "the project". A few blocks later, we're making a right turn and I hear another distinct sound of a piece of trim falling off the back of my c ar. This time I didn't even bother turning around to pick it up I was so pissed at myself. Doh! At least they were both from the rear window. So, now I am faced with buying a new set. Has anyone bought the reproduction from CI? Any complaints? They also sell original GM but they are well over double the price.
