First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... Thanks guys for helping me with this. I'm still fairly new to this car, and am learning and fumbling as I go along.
To test Lee's and Bob's socket/grounding theory, I dropped the two courtesy lights from above the front floor-wells, pulled the light fixture on the console at the rear, and removed the bulb from the dome light (but didn't drop the dome fixture). Still won't turn off... I then noticed that the fuse for the courtesy lights was also for the lighter, clock, and hazards So I pulled the cig lighter, and removed the console clock. I thought I had found the problem, because when I pulled the clock, the contacts were unplugged and touching the clock housing. But moving them around didn't fix it. In fact, when I test the clock contacts, I am getting no power on any of them. I'll dig into that another day...who knows, maybe this clock would work if it had power. All bulb sockets, and the cig lighter are getting power, and each register about 12V on my tester. And no matter what I do, the courtesy lights stay on until I remove the fuse. Any other ideas? Could it be in the light switch? And if it is, how do I test (and/or remove) it? kenny On Sun, Nov 16, 2008 at 6:22 PM, Scott Everson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>wrote: > First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List > ......................................................................... > I've still got the original sockets and brackets.
