Hugo's got a good point BUT, the performer is ,in my opinion, a waste of
money. It is no better than a factory q-jet intake. The only help is the
weight savings.

As for a carb, I always had good success with the holley q-jet replacement.
It’s a 650 dp. It really is a nice setup. I ran one myself on my brothers 69
350. it was a 2bbl car...

Also,

When I converted to unilite and an MSD 6a, I picked up 3 mph in the quarter
in my 67

That was huge..

Well, if you want to wake the 350 up a little bit more you can start
with a nice set of headers and a crossover exhaust system, swap the
stock intake for an Edelbrock Performer intake and buy a nice Holley
Street Avenger carb with eletric choke (although the stock 4 barrel
setup has been found to be pretty darn good when that quadrajet is
running properly. You'll lighten the front end of your car by a good
30+ lbs and make the engine breathe better without overdoing it.
Next would be either an MSD box or a Pertronix ignition system.
Then if you want a bit more and you are feeling brave, a better cam,
but, this is where you'd have to do a lot of homework figuring out
which heads you have so you know the valve sizes and the size of the
chambers and then make some phone calls to some of the cam
manufacturers to see what they'd recommend (and I'm sure they will
ask you what your goals are as far as what you'd like to get out of
the engine).

Have fun with it.
