Joe, I had a 650 Holly DP with a spreadbore combo, we could NEVER get the car running, It was always running really rich. Gave the motor way too much fuel when floored. Tried adjusting everything on that carb with no success, rebuilt it too! A well built and tuned Q-jet or smaller Holley would work well. but a 650 is a bit much fuel for a 2bbl 350. I am now very happy with a stock replacement Q-jet!
