First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... Yes, when the welding is complete, you pull the copper strips out. I attached a piece of MIG wire to mine like a fishing line to pull it from. Once the cleco fasteners are removed, the copper backup falls loose.
You can use the copper over and over. The weld doesn't stick to it or harm it. Thanks Larry, You learn something new everyday. (at least if you're reading the Firebird -List) And then, Could you get the copper strips out? Leaving them there is probably not a good idea. I'm thinking of galvanic corrosion. /Niklas ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html> Classifieds: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/ubb/> Owner Pictures: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/show/> Donations: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/store/cart.mv?999999> FGF Merchandise: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/store>
