Thanks.  Did you fab the patches for the outer wheel house and the bottom of
the trunk drop-off, or did you cut pieces from a repo piece?

That's how I am doing it.  When the small triangle cut from the trunk is
welded back, it will b under seam sealer anyway.  Cut it out neatly with an
.045 thick 3M cut-off wheel in a die grinder. 

To check for rust, take a screwdriver and push against the bottom of the
quarter just above the pinch weld.  More than likely, there will be a soft
area, especially directly next to the rear wheel.  If a screwdriver will go
through, the quarter extension is going to need to be repaired anyway, or
the rust will break through later on.  

On my project, the bottom of the quarter, a piece of the outer wheel house
and the bottom of the trunk drop-off all required rebuilding on both sides.
