I could be wrong (I have 3 69's and 2 67's), but, AFAIK the first gen Firebirds 
did not have a water valve to stop the flow of coolant water to the heater core 
(maybe AC cars since none of mine have AC or it's been removed).

Hey all, looking for a water valve for my '69 400 FB.  Checked Ames and Year 
One, but no luck.  
Did find one on e-bay, but it looks like it's for a camaro, as it does not look 
like my original.  
According to the service manual, I think the part number is 9774799  Any 
suggestions?  I'd like to 
be able to turn the heat off :)
