The water valve (for AC cars) are reproduced. You should be able to get one from any of the repo houses. I have several different designs though.

I second the need for the 90 degree oil filter adapter to make things fit right. As for the smaller oil filter, I run a NAPA (NASCAR version) 91522 (or WIX 51522 not sure about the first digit)) It's the same filter as the one on my '02 GMC pickup. The specs from WIX were almost the same as the original filter just a smaller diameter. Haven't had any problems running it yet, been using them for over a year now.

Hey all, looking for a water valve for my '69 400 FB. Checked Ames and Year One, but no luck.Â

Did find one on e-bay, but it looks like it's for a camaro, as it does not look like my original.Â

According to the service manual, I think the part number is 9774799 Any suggestions? I'd like to

be able to turn the heat off :)

Secondly, just got my bird back together with the long branch headers and the oil filter bracket

that repositions the oil filter, but when I change the filter, I still need to "move" the trans

cooler lines and take off the trans sheet metal cover to get the filter out. Is there a smaller

diameter filter that will work on the v-8's?
