I'm in the same boat, but about 6 hours away. Fabulous Firebirds is out in the middle of southeast nowhere, but it is a Firebird owner's dream. After a little jaunt down a gravel road, you see this place that has about 20 or so First Gen Firebirds sitting around in various conditions, and there are parts out the ying-yang. I think the guy who orginally founded it has gotten into Outlaw Pontiac Racing, but the if the new person running it is one of the ones who's been with it for a while, he should know what he's doing. These folks are knowledgeable (i.e. you're not going to get a '68 console for $10), but if you talk cars with them for a while and prove your not a jerk, you can get some good deals, especially if you buy a lot.

 

It's definately worth checking out, but it is way back in the boonies.
