Have you tried it without hooking up the plug for the washer pump?  If it works
ok without that plugged in then the hot lead is getting shorted to ground by
the washer pump stuff.  The motor is supposed to be grounded in order for the
park switch to work and park the blades.

Folks,

I am still in the weeds with my wiper system, and need some advice:

Facts:

Motor is new (rebuilt).
Washer pump is new.
Switch is new.
Wiring is new.
Fuse is new.

If I pull the motor off of the firewall, it works just fine.  First position
of the switch clockwise is high, and the second position is low.  Works
great.

The motor is attached to the firewall by three screws.  There are rubber
grommets that the screws are threaded through.  The grommets did not come
with the rebuilt motor, so I recycled my old ones.  They are in fair shape.
I am guessing they are needed to avoid grounding the motor on the firewall.

After I reattach the motor to the firewall (one of the screw holes in the
firewall has the remnants of an old screw in there, so I am only using two
screws for now), power up the harness, and turn the switch, the fuse
immediately pops.

Any idea what's going on?  Like I said, when the motor is not attached to
the firewall, it spins on high and low.

Thanks in advance.
