Niklas: Well, for once I'm sorry that I was right. That little choke coil is a continuous source of grief on my old truck. And I really don't want a manual choke, or a later carb. Wayne in OKC. My parts dealer couldn't find any electric choke for the old Quadrajets used on our cars. On my previous Bird I had a later generation of Q-jet from 1974 wich was converted to electric choke so I assumed it could be done to this one as well. Guess I was wrong. I will stick to the stock choke system if it works.
