I'll be interested to hear thoughts on this thread as well.  I managed to
keep the original deluxe interior in my '67 vert for almost 25 years.  The
vinyl seats & dash held up amazingly well - especially with all the exposure
to the sun from being a convertible.  Very few cracks, splits, tears, etc.

About 10 years ago I redid the entire interior including all new seat covers
from Classic.  They fit well and looked great, but much to my
disappointment, within two years the vinyl started cracking on the front
seats and a seam split on the rear bench.  It was as if the vinyl got
brittle.  If they were leather seats I would have said that they didn't get
enough leather conditioner on them and that they were allowed to dry out.

Anyway, I'm getting ready to replace the seat covers again (and the dash for
the first time) and am hoping to find a higher quality product this time.
