I think you may need to look at the Firebug Installation Log, not the error console. I'm not sure where this is on Vista but on Windows 7 it seems to be in the user data area, viz,
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles \<profileName>\extensions.log (You will have to substitute <username> and <profileName> appropriately) I am getting a similar problem with all new installations of extensions on Firebug 3.5.2. I've had no help from Firebug support - they just seem overwhelmed with problem reports with 3.5.2. My installation log has the following errors: 2009-08-25 06:43:20 - safeInstallOperation: install operation (caller- supplied callback) failed, rolling back file moves and aborting installation. 2009-08-25 06:43:20 - ExtensionManager:_finishOperations - failure, catching exception - lineno: 1658 - file: undefined - [Exception...
