Nice post - I agree with most of what you have said... although just a comment on this one, "it seems like Flash may need to become two apps in the long run. Or rather, EXPLICITLY become two apps"
It already has: Flash CS3 and Flexbuilder. Adobe is working on other tools too to ease the workflow between Flash and Flex and other Adobe products.
