I'm not _convinced_ that this is an issue with the alpha
software, however, I cannot get RigCAT to control my Icom
IC-746Pro, whereas Hamlib works just fine.

I'm using a USB-to-RS232 serial adapter, which is connected to
a home-brewed RS232 to CI-V converter. Hamlib will control the
radio and SteppIR controller correctly, and changing frequencies
on the radio will update fldigi correctly as well. RigCAT just
gives me error messages.

Also...not sure if this has been covered in the Yahoo! group
for the release software or not, however, I'd like to propose
an enhancement. The 746Pro has a data mode for USB/LSB which
turns off the speech compressor and changes the filters, among
other things. There is a unique CI-V command to activate and/or
read the status. It would be nice if there were a way to specify
that fldigi activate the data mode instead of having to do that
manually. It does make a difference with reception.

My computer/radio system configuration is:
OS: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
CPU: AMD K8
Sound Interface: Signalink USB
Radio Interface: homebrew CI-V
