Update your network hardware drivers and if you have a firewall or virus checking enabled, turn it off to see what happens.

Average cpu % <20% Just installed Windows 7 64 bit and having an issue with audio cracks or static during network internet traffic. Such as during lookup on qrz.com with DX-labs Pathfinder program, during internet lookup the cpu percent jumps briefly to 80% with audio cracks in PowerSDR. DPC's remains less than 200ms throughout. Also, if using the internal keyer for CW, the CW wpm will slow waaay down and miss elements. This audio crack also occurs on Spot Collector program traffic from the DX C uster. Uninstalled virus protection program and no change. Any ideas on what settings to look for? Perhaps additonal RAM, or update motherboard drivers? New faster PC? :) Have 5g ram now which is recognized by Windows 7 64. Fortunately, I have two HDs in the PC, so reverting back to Windows XP and all is well on XP, 32 bit. But would like to keep experimenting with Windows 7 64bit. 73 John N3WT _______________________________________________ Flexedge mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexedge_flex-radio.biz This is the FlexRadio Systems e-mail Reflector called FlexEdge.
