The point is that you'd need a custom driver even to *get* this tiny
optimization with most Linux 3D cards, and the custom driver probably
would be less optimized in other areas.  Modern Linux 3D drivers are
DRI-based by default -- that's what our users have.  You'd get a much
bigger saving shrinking the window by 1 or 2%, if you were concerned.
