JSBSim reports the lat/lon/alt of the current CG. We know the relative
locations of other points, but do not calculate the lat/lon/alt of those. I
don't know who should calculate those things. I *suppose* we could -
technically we could. But, that's why I thought we might just supply a
commonly known reference point between the 3D and FDM models. Then the 3D
model could be (?) translated to the current CG before being rotated (and
thus it wouldn't move "funny"), and the distance to the pilot eyepoint could
be calculated so the camera could be positioned appropriately. No?

I had thought that the 3D drawing code already did (or could do ) something
like that, but I am really out of touch with the graphics stuff.
