That works fine for OpenGC since one is using an orthographic projection. However if you increase the FOV on the FG side the distortion gets a bit extreme as you move to the edge. Trying to reduce the amount of hardware required by using one machine running two instances of FG. If the performance is acceptable you could create a FOV of, say 120 degrees, with two screens. (Guess I'm just a minimalist at heart) Which brings to mind an interesting question. Curtis, how do you handle the distortion in your five screen setup? I'm assuming that each screen is setup at some FOV and offset n degrees from the centerline. So each screen as a center point where the image perspective is correct and then distorts as you move to the edge. Then at the 'seam' the adjacent screen has the similar amount of distortion which decreases as you move to the center of that screen. Is it noticeable? OTTOMH, can't think of an OpenGL command/option that defines a frustrum that subtends some arbitrary arc that is also offset from center or if such an animal even exists. Regards John W. P.S. For some reason, Curtis, I'm missing your 6 Dec post on this subject. Wonder why it got filtered? You didn't use any naughty words, did you? ;-) Would you mind reposting or sending a copy via private email. Thanks. _______________________________________________ Flightgear-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel
