I want to add a flag to the property system to specify existence of wing icing or not. We don't really have much for icing in FG yet (other that the UIUC stuff.)

I don't want to over engineer an ultimate solution right now, I just want a flag specifying wing icing or not.

This could be classified as a "fault", and many other faults (i.e. item serviceable) go in the /controls sub tree. There is a /controls/anti-ice/ sub tree that someone set up, would that be a reasonable place to add this flag?

This could also be tied to the environment system, but pretty much everything in the /environment subtree is related to the environment manager interpolation scheme and I'm not sure I want to mess in there right now.

How about in /sim/ (/sim/freeze?) :-) But seriously, /sim is a catch all ... maybe that would be the best place for it right now until someone can come up with a fully overengineered icing condition modeling subsystem.

Curt.
