You might want to make that a number, specifying a normalized "thickness" in millimeters or whatnot. Ice is a progressive effect. I suppose one could argue whether the computation of this number belongs in the weather code or the FDM, but leaving it in this format keeps our options open. The FDM can read it or write it without changing the meaning.
