Heh, to each his own. Although I will point out that most of your complaints have more to do with poor email software and/or administration than they do to mail as a medium for discussion. If you want searchability and easy access with a web browser, for example, I can heartily recommend gmail. I don't use it myself, because I run my own IMAP server, but I have several coworkers who love the thing.
