I have a Tyan (Tiger MPX) with dual AMD 2200+, 2GB RAM and an ATI 9500
Radeon and FlightGear works fine on Gentoo. I updated the BIOS when I
put the system together because it was rather dated and I have
experienced weirdness with past Tyan boards. That and running a memory
test like memtest86 might be worth a shot to help rule out hardware issues.
