Remember that people doing aircraft models and scenery are also
"developers", and need to be able to run the development version to do
their work (for example, to pick up bug fixes and new features -- this
kind of back and forth happens every day on the IRC channel).

The CVS head isn't just for code jockeys like us, and treating it like
it is is a sure way to cheese off our content developers, as witnessed
by this thread.
