Well, I guess that since I've taken over many responsibilities as release
coordinator, I guess the next release will largely be depending on my own
agenda, and that won't allow me to work on a release in the next few weeks, I
can tell you that for sure. :-)

Well, all things considered the OSG / CVS/HEAD branch is making giant leaps
forward these days, whereas not much has happened to the plib branch. Even
though there are still a few remaining features that would be nice to have in
the OSG branch, I personally find the OSG branch so much better than the plib
branch that it seems obvious to target the OSG branch to be the next release
candidate. But, there are still quite a few bugs/experimental features that
need cleaning up, so we also need some more time for that.

All things considered, since a) my agenda doesn;t allow for a release yet, b)
we really need more time on the OSG branch to allow the experimental feature
to stabilize, and c) not much has happened on the PLIB branch, I would
suggest that we try to aim for an OSG based release in the second half of
this year.

Cheers,
Durk
