I must admit that this is a good argument for keeping Rembrandt out of the next release. In this case keeping 3.0 for a later release with ready aircrafts is consistent. Anyway an experimental/optional feature shouldn't trigger a major number. In any case, having a well known roadmap (and a communication policy ?) for 3.0 would be a good thing.
