From your description I suppose that you are using FGRun.exe to start FGFS. I believe that there may be a problem with that program, although I have not investigated it in any depth You can start FGFS from the command line.

Subject: [Flightgear-users] Startup problem on WinXP

Hello Vivian:

I have posed your question to Toshiba, as my knowledge on such things is non-existent. Hopefully someone will respond!

Also, I have downloaded the same version on to a new machine, the HP Pavilion. Here, there are big problems too! After launching the programme from the desktop and then selecting aircraft, airport etc when you hit “RUN” the browser opens but nothing happens any further. The text “not responding” comes up in the top left hand corner next to “FlightGear”.

The obvious question would be is there a general problem with the Windows version of this programme?

Regards,

Martin
