Thanks AJ, Curt, and Erik.  Sounds like I should do a
complete build and install from cvs rather than using
the update command.  What is the advantage of doing
cvs update?  Seems to me that update would be used
more frequently than a full checkout (eg weekly
basis).  So since it's been 7-8 months since I
installed 0.9.8, I might as well do a complete install
of source to another directory.  And as Curt said,
this will allow me to keep the working version as it
now stands.
