A misunderstanding here - I meant _any_ other version of freeglut, specifically freeglut-2.4. If you really want to try freeglut instead of SDL (which I don't imagine you do) then make certain there are no traces of freeglut-2.4 left on your machine. But I'm sure you will probably notice no difference using SDL instead of freeglut, maybe even a positive difference :-) > I usually don“t have direct access to the Internet and use the tar.gz. I can see this would have hampered your use of google too :-) I mistakenly assumed that because you had email access you would also have easy web access, sorry. Web access is the great problem-solver... I'd be stuck without it myself a lot of the time! > I usually search the web for info, these time I did the same but I > thought I should share my experience with others maybe helping them > and also helping myself. I just read your original mail again and yes, it's very well laid out and I'm sure will be helpful to others trying to compile fgfs for the first time. > time I must do something different, I want to fly the massive A380 in > FlightGear... :) I have bad news for you on that front then :-| The A380 isn't ready to fly yet. You can of course start off at high altitude and glide it though :-) Still, there are lots of other new and very nice planes to try...
